A general question. For how many years of experience - lead engineer position is given in SocGen ? I know it depends on performance but have seen employees with 7+ yrs get lead position while someone like me having almost 8.8 years was still given the role of Specialist software engineer.

Beats me... JP Morgan profit down 69% and consumer spending is plummeting, yet the market is more high than Joe Exotic’s ex-husband who blew his brains out and is up 600 points

I think there will be another bottom. Unemployment is super high, earnings season is coming, oil is low, in total, were operating in a paradoxical time where the stock market isn’t on par with the broader economy
Stocks go up and down. We all know this. For right now, however, the market seems to be seeing some daylight. The crisis is being mitigated. The race for a vaccine is on. The shock of this is behind us. That’s my theory, anyway.

Could be CEO of a 1 person company as well lol
Because most of the people that own stocks are wealthy people who don’t live paycheck to paycheck and are always looking to make money. Buying stocks when cheap is always smart.

Terminal value, which is usually projected after 5 years out, is at least 75% of stock price. Only structural movements by a firm, it's supply chain, or it's competitors should move the price.
^ this is why everything you think you know about the market is wrong. Lol it's semiefficient, reacting to emotions and capital surplus/deficits more than economic theory.
Conversely, why would you expect stocks to continue to go down?
Cuz yo boys tryna buyyyy

Current economic realities were priced in when stocks were going down.
Because there hasn’t been any new information in the last few weeks indicating that coronavirus will be worse than we had thought. In fact the opposite has happened because of the flattening of the curve.
Now that I work in public health and I am exposed to more doctors and epidemiologists, many of my coworkers think we are in for a total train wreck in about 1 to 2 months once COVID-19 arrives in many of the states that have not been in social distancing
The FED is buying everything.

When do you expect the market to go down again? Like an event or just with time and coronavirus not going away.
More event driven. Earnings is approaching like others have said and I think institutions will dump shares. A bottom could be a few months away and right now we’re in limbo
‘Merica.
Something something priced in
