A recruiter reached out to me today to schedule an interview. I have to interview for the job i am currently doing by myself? This is beyond frustrating. Not only am i already at the bottom of the pay scale, i need to interview for the job i am already doing alone? I want to quit so bad, but right now that will hurt me more than the company. They will be setback temporarily since it has only been her and I doing the job for YEARS but it will hurt me more. How can i go through an interview without an attitude or flat out crying?
You are validated to feel the way you do. I can sympathize with your situation now that you are holding space for two positions. It would relieve me to think that your company would consider hiring someone one quickly to take your position and up level you automatically. See ing how most companies work on each one teach one. You will probably teaching the next person coming in. If your company doesn’t give the position what will you do?
That is definitely not the case, and again others were just given their positions. Including my co worker that retired
And thats exactly the type of thinking for how employers take advantage of people. And how people like me get stuck being unfairly compensated for years of loyalty
