I don’t have any experience as an expat, but I have seen that in the past (80s/90s) if you took a position abroad, your company would pay for the relocation of you and your spouse. Do any married couples have any experience with this? I am American and looking into a two year position in the EU. My soon to be fiancé also has US/EU citizenship so that should make it easier for him to get a job there. Any tips? His current company doesn’t have an office in the country that I’m looking at.

I just signed the offer letter from Absolutdata acquired by Infogain , and even before joining the company they sent me a welcome kit.
I am unsure of joining them in case I get a better counter offer, but I am a bit worried now since they already sent me a welcome kit. I am wondering what made them sure that I will join them and not any other company. Is it that after signing offer letter I cannot join other company?
