Anyone familiar with the areas of McKinsey that do work on nonprofit/refugee work? What qualifications are needed? I’ve done pro bono related work at Deloitte, not sure how to do that full time.

We don’t have deans, what are they??

MHS1, I didn't realize that I had marked your reply as "funny". I sure didn't mean to upset anyone. However, now that I think about it, it could have been a bit amusing due to the fact that the responsibility of the Dean is so similar to the responsibilities of the assistant principle. Actually, as small as our school is, I am surprised that we have both a dean and an assistant principal
We just discussed this at a union meeting. Deans in our district can only pass on directives from Admin, not take it upon themselves to issue orders to staff. They're kind of like the Assistant to the Regional Manager :)

Oh wow! We were given strategies of behavior and their expectations for classroom management before we send students to student services. (Of course, I think some of this stems from teachers last year who kept writing kids up for things like not having their pencils)
They have different jobs in different schools. In my last school they took care of discipline and dealing with unruly students. They were not certified. They could not suspend students because this had to be done by the assistant principal. These were not certified.
In another district where I taught they also dealt with unruly students but could suspend students. These were certified and a level below the assistant principal
Student behavior is the big one at my school. We've got a pretty troubled population so there is more than enough work cut out for them in that regard. I don't think they'd have any time to focus on anything other than behavior even if they wanted to

They should only be handled by the Dean, however the deans shouldn't be demanding the teachers to do things. Classroom management is a teacher's role, and a Dean shouldn't be telling the teachers what to do.
Depends. In my district, they are the core department heads. They teach three classes in the morning and then have various department head duties in the afternoon.

That sounds interesting. At least they are teachers and probably have more of a grip on what teachers have to deal with.
It depends at your school. They sometimes act like climate managers to deescalate student behaviors from kindergarten to high school. They meet with patents and the student. They can also assist in scheduling conflicts for teachers. They attend leadership meetings and provide data too.

Yes, exactly! Last year, our dean was also in charge of emergency procedures like fire drills, lockdowns, holds, etc
