I have employment law question. Nothing is technically illegal at my work besides no breaks. But I have a micromanaging boss. She's not only micromanaging; she's demeaning and inexperienced. I signed a contract to stay a year for them to pay relocation costs. The relocation costs ended up being 37k and it ends on Dec 1st. I am miserable at my job. I have written (and not sent) numerous 2 week notice letters. How can I get out of my contract or do you have any other advice on how to make it work?

I currently make 78k at Lockheed but I’m not doing what I’d like to be doing and i felt stuck and after many conversations with my manager and no solution in sight, I started applying elsewhere. I just recently got an offer from a smaller AI company for 95k that I plan to accept. I’m happy to make the jump, I just don’t know how my manager/coworkers will react when I tell them I’m leaving.
