I’ve started using Bumble BFF
They have Facebook groups for all sorts of things like others have said.
Bumble has a feature that is just looking for friends - not sure how good it is, but maybe try that?
There are tons of professional networking groups too in the valley - I belong to a women in leadership one, and one specifically for insurance nerds.
Maybe take a night class at a community college for something that interests you like photography. Or there are lots of inter-mural type sports groups.
Follow your passions and find someone!
I have been here 6 weeks and the only person I have met so far is the Amazon delivery driver. 🤣 working remote is definitely going to make it more challenging but I know once things slow down I will find my people
I used meetup quite a bit and joined lots of social clubs. It definitely took a while before I got a solid group going though
I met my new friends while renovating my new apartment. Some have offered me help with my boxes, some are from the paint place I asked suggestions from, and some are from a plant place where I bought my new plants. Oh, and neighbors. That's basically it.
I got on facebook groups for area locals and I just networked and met up with people. Some I liked more than others I will say but it was the only way I could make some friends.
I would suggest trying Bumble friends. I was able to connect with a bunch of people and made some really good friends using bumble friends.
