Often a suit jacket will have a different style, fit or fabric than a sports jacket. Therefore they are often easy to recognize as a suit jacket. Wearing them as a sports jacket might make you look cheap. Just buy sports jackets.
Don't see anything wrong. A lot of people do it. Just make sure the jacket, pants, and accessories don't look off - match/contrast where you can.
Blazers instead of sports coats are fine, but would not recommend a suit jacket.
Nah. Thx.
Depends on what kind of suit. At the end of the day it has to look good. If it’s a shiny silver double breasted suit jacket and you pair it with jeans, you may look pretty weird.
In addition to fit and esthetics. Your clothes are signals about you. So make sure you look good esthetically and don’t send confusing messages.

Nope, all good
My rule of thumb is you can interchange a blazer and a suit coat, but you shouldn’t interchange a sports coat for either. It’s a separate garment for separate situations.
