As a curly haired girl that went natural during Covid this is my favorite topic. What is your hair texture? I am a 3-c and love Pattern curl custard. But what really helped me was using mousse or gel for hold. Once the hair is completely dry you can break the cast w or w out a little oil. I usually don’t have time to dry my hair. I wash, condition, use Pattern leave-in conditioner, and curl custard or gel, let it dry on my way to work, arrange and break the cast at work. A good curly hair cut also helps. My hair still has a great shape even when it goes frizzy so it doesn’t look so bad.
Innersense have a great natural range - I won’t use anything else now! Super light weight product but actually controls frizz/tames my curls
Innersense is so good
You have curly hair. You need to put gel in your hair after washing and follow the old curly suzie method - search on YouTube and you will find her video tutorial!
Ok - I have the answer!!!
I have very similar hair that is curly but I like to wear a lot of different styles.
Kerastase has a line of products that remove calcium from your hair. After using the line for 2 weeks I noticed a difference and after using the line for 3 months my hair is unrecognizable. So smooth, soft, manageable, it looks like I got a Brazilian blowout without making it straight. If I wear it curly, I have no frizz which is unreal to me (I use a mousse / gel combo) and let it air dry and if I wear it straight it’s so sleek looking.
If you want to try this let me know, the instructions are specific.
Another thing I’ve used that’s a game changer is a metal detox shampoo from L’Oréal professional. My pipes are old, and the metal from the pipes was affecting my hair till I started using this product.

Second this!!
If your hair is curly most specifically curly hair. The best one I found is Awaphuni that is paul Mitchell, scent is ginger, and it smells heavenly.
Love to see all this curly advice! As others have said it really depends on what kind of curly hair you have. I have fine curls and was really struggling with frizz. The game-changers for me were leaving more moisture in my hair after washing (before adding products), and then using a generous amount of styling foam mixed with gel. I had been using curl creams to try fight the frizz, and they were not what my hair needed. Now I have volume and curl definition. Also, recommend sleeping with a cap.
Maybe you should look into a mousse! Not Your Mother's is a great option if you have curly hair. If not, you can always find mousses that aren't high in harsh chemicals for your hair.
Drunk elephant has a really nice leave in spray that helps with frizz and is also a heat protectant. I used while my hair is still wet. When I don’t do that. I used argan oil just a dime sized amount so it doesn’t looked like I greased it again while it’s still wet. https://www.drunkelephant.com/collections/hair-collection/wild-marula-tangle-spray-812343031319.html?cgid=products-allproducts-haircare
I haven’t used a blow dryer in years air dry only I also haven’t dyed it in years which seems to have helped control the frizz. I shower at night and by morning my hair is dry then I can style it.
Have you tried oiling? Using oils like olive oil, Moroccan oil, coconut oil can really do wonders. Leave it overnight and wash it in the morning. Although washing oiled hair will be a task but it may be well worth it. Switch up your shampoo to a more moisturizing cream based type.
Color Wow Dream Coat Anti-Frizz spray is the best! I also have been getting keratin treatments and it’s helped a lot. My hair is still super curly unless I use heat products but it makes it a lot more manageable and consistent
Apparently there are 6 month kératine treatments out there that will keep your hair smooth. I heard they’re expensive, but if it’s 6 months problem free, it may be worth it
Can confirm they are amazing!
This isn't a short term solution, but I started using Olaplex's whole line of products maybe 2 years ago and I can't believe how much nicer my hair looks and feels all the time now. My hair has always been this mix of some straight, some curly, some kinked and super frizzy. Now, my hair only frizzes when I'm in a very high humidity situation and only a small amount compared to before when I looked like the photo you posted.
Do you do curly girl method? No sulfates, silicons, and other guidelines. A lot of it is technique (literally not brushing your when it is dry and things like that) and there are facebook groups and YouTube videos that will teach you a lot. Huge difference in my hair after I started doing this!
