Second this book

Trust me, you won’t get farther than holding the book, reading the title and author and putting it on your cabin table.

Ex-bf posted on social media to say he was so turned on thinking about new gf during an international flight that he went to the restroom so he could [ahem ahem], then he used the resulting “fluids” to draw a heart on the bathroom mirror. HE DREW IT WITH HIS STUFF. Important context: he’s 33 freaking years old, has PhD, and we broke up partly because he couldn’t express affection. So, this is… evidence of personal growth?!🥴 I can’t even be jealous because I’m just so like wtf, 🤮🙄🤦‍♀️!

Q for the people that like WFH and never want to go back - what is your living situation? I hate WFH and can’t wait to be back in the office, so curious if other people have adapted better or if their environments are just more conducive to being successful (house with home office and family vs being alone in a 1BR apartment).

Book recommendations threads! Include title with a brief summary: ‘The Philosopher and the Wolf’ by Mark Rowlands. A book about connections beyond humans. Not just with animals, but the world. He does a phenomenal job of wrapping philosophical thoughts and theories into every day life. Highly recommend for those who love the outdoors, have a dog, or want a new outlook on life.

Ok fishbowl family - I need advice. Rising senior 1 here and realizing that I genuinely get no joy out of audit. Here’s what I like: I love talking to people, mentoring & teaching, organizing, learning. I literally loved everything in college- I was between majoring in accounting or psychology. 1/X

Hi all! So I made the switch to industry 8 weeks ago and took on a completely new role (I’ve got about 6.5 YOE.)I love the org and my new supervisor, however I got paired with a colleague who has made it clear she doesn’t enjoy working with me and has serious issues with my working style. She’s a very senior and experienced person so feels bad that she thinks so negatively of me already. I want to improve, but it will take some time as I’m still relatively new. (Cont)

Hi, Consulting Moms! I need advice - I am leaving industry to return to consulting. I have offers from KPMG and Deloitte, and we are looking to start a family ASAP (we have been actively trying and I have a feeling it would be just my luck to start a new job and find out I’m pregnant). Would love your insight around personal experience with hours per week, work-life balance, culture, etc. Offers are same level/role/scope (Change Management / Transformation / Human Capital) and same salary. TY!

It really bothers me that I'll never have the confidence men do, and I think this will impact my career. Things like self-promotion to the right people, being highly confident in my abilities (rather than focusing on risks and mitigations), and just naturally walking into every room like I belong. I know these are not only qualities of men and I can develop them too. I'm just frustrated & venting because it feels like I'm trying so hard just to achieve the same goals. Anyone relate? Any wisdom?

This question is on behalf of my friend: Her current package is 2.5lpa from a small company (3yrs exp java spring boot) . She got offer from Accenture of 6lpa (fixed) . After this she had interview with cognizant and asked for package of 7 lpa. When she recieved the offer from cognizant it was of 10lpa fixed. Most interesting part after 2 weeks she got revised offer letter from cogni without any discussion of 16lpa with 1L joining bonus. How can we analyse and suggest her regarding offer.

Has anyone transitioned into product management? I would love to hear your story! I have 8 years experience in project management but I don’t know how to pivot. I don’t think I want to pivot internally because I’ve heard negative things about our product management teams. I’ve been thinking about moving into project management at a SaaS company but that is proving to be hard since I have no SaaS experience. Would love to hear anyone experience on moving into product management.
