Many of my friends are now working on creating content for TikTok accounts and they are going great! It has been definitely a game changer
I have noticed this alot amongst my friend group as well.
It has been very successful and rewarding, both financially and creatively. I've had a great response from viewers and clients alike who appreciate my holistic approach to filmmaking.
I think social media has become an invaluable tool for filmmakers because it allows us to make connections with people all over the world who may not have heard of our work before. It's also made it easier than ever before to collaborate with others on projects due to the ease of communication that these types of platforms provide.
Yes, and it's great! I'm also seeing an increase in revenue. People are more willing to pay for content when it comes in shorter video formats that they can easily watch on their phones or tablets. This has allowed me to monetize some of the videos that I've posted online and get paid for what I do.
And a lot of work. I'm finding it easier to promote myself and my work on social media than ever before. People are always looking for new content on these platforms, so if you're able to produce quality work then you can quickly build up a following.
I find the challenge of building a story within a short timeframe to be very rewarding since it pushes you to think outside the box more than the usual amount. I quite enjoy how much easier it is to market my work and to build an audience almost out of thin air. It's pretty fulfilling.
I feel like everyone in the film industry has been waiting for this moment. Everything seems to go smoothly (well not most of the time). I have to agree with Film Production 1, the challenge lies with having to put huge and valuable content within a short timeframe.
I started freelancing for a digital agency. They hire me to shoot footage of their client's business and then they create a ton of shorts for social media from it.
The shortening of videos also shortening our attention spans for content is a literal game changer. I think it is a more challenging time now to be making short films with all the content being churned out on the daily.
Personally, I'm obsessed with it. Initially I thought I would hate having to compress the story into such a short amount of time, but it's actually so much fun telling stories this way. It's thrilling to say the least.
I've been spending hours on short videos during my free time and day off. It's actually interesting. They can catch your attention and will make you curious.
