Happy Chuseok, Fam!
Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??

I don't agree with the logic but I do think it never hurts to shoot your shot! If someone is already fully qualified for a role, what are they getting out of it?
This advice might have been true years ago, but is not applicable to today. Apply to every single job you are qualified for and only after that, if you have free time, then start applying for jobs above your current level. It is a numbers game right now and you want to be mindful of how you spend your time job hunting.
Same. If someone’s missing key skills, they’re rarely the best fit, even in a small candidate pool. I’d rather wait for the right match than fill a role just because options are limited. That said, applying when you have most of the requirements and can grow into the role? Totally worth trying. But “not qualified at all” usually just means a no from me.
