Hi there - we live in Chicago and have been renting and staying in a luxury rental building would like advice on the below situation - there has been an ongoing bathroom leak issue since 6 months and the building management has been lax and delayed with their response and assistance. We are too frustrated as it is causing mounds and unlivable environment. Would like to educate ourselves with renters right. Also, should we consult a lawyer? Any recommendations? Can renters insurance be useful?

Does anyone else find short-haul JetBlue flights to be the most miserable experience? It's fine if you are flying Mint NYC-LAX but every other experience with the airline has been painful. Unfortunately, there are many routes where JetBlue is one of the only options.

Given that most major PA firms are fairly lax on remote work/hybrid work models, is it fair to assume one can apply to positions in any city in the country even if they don’t live in that state? Or should they stick to open positions in their localities?

I haven’t been to LAX in years. What is this scam where you have to get in a shuttle then have to walk past all the taxis and now your fare is ten bucks higher since they took you further away in the shuttle. Wtf LA.

Is United Silver premier worth it? I never have enough spend to be anything above basic but I did a few trips this year and I am 875 PQP and 2 PQF short to silver premier. I have a lot of what ifs in terms of travel next year but thought it would be good to get. I may do a quick trip to lax or phx next month to get me there that will cost about $900-$1100. I would like to stay at EY for a total of 2 years and then get a lax remote job that allows my bf and I to travel Europe. I truly wish I could work internationally and stay with EY, but I also think I would enjoy the experience more if I was working a job that’s max 40 hours a week and very chill. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’ll have my CPA by the time I leave (I’m in my first year rn). Bf is an attorney and looking for a lax job as well for the year. Thank you everyone <3

PSA don’t take taxis from LAX. Uber/lyft was surging ($70-$80 when usually $40) so I took a chance on a regular taxi and it was $100 ☠️🤡

Stuck between two jobs. I have a job offer from a Big4 and also have an operations job offer from a pretty reputable bank. I've done research into consulting and I'm pretty hesitant on the chaos, WLB, and politics that goes into it. The operations role seems a lot more stable and lax, but not sure if l'm giving up a lot by playing it safe. The C job also pays about 15k more than the Ops job.

I appreciate how lax we’ve gotten with tattoos. One of the few firms where I see it so commonly and it makes me very happy! I’ve gotten a few inconspicuous ones out of fear of being “corporate judged”, but really want a forearm tat.

I'm so burnt out. I thought moving a level up to RN clinical coordinator would help. I have a desk and other duties that aren't clinical. Yet, it's not enough. I'm still doing my old job with patients 70% of the time, plus my new job. No staff, no choice. But 1 year in and I still don't like it. I always want to call out. The staff are nice but they are too lax with safety.
I want to keep moving forward in nursing and I'm just not loving it anymore.

UA NYC to LAX/SFO Premium Plus upgrade is $225 for each segment. Worth paying cash to upgrade? NYC-LAX is an evening flight and SFO-NYC is a red eye.

Traveling to London in November on United from LAX. The upgrade cost for Polaris business on the way there is $1,800 but the upgrade cost on the way back is $6,600.

Any idea why the price is so much more on the way back? It's the same aircraft (787-9 Dreamliner).

Anyone do Global Entry interviews? Says to print out your conditional approval letter but I dont have a printer. Is that just a vestigial instruction and can I bring a copy on my phone or do they actually expect me to bring a real paper copy of their 3 page novel of ink?

Genuinely curious - will people ever start going back to the office consistently? Lots of hybrid talk here but from what I’ve seen no one is consistent and no managers are pushing it. Very lax and seems that no one is overly eager to get back in the office on a consistent schedule. We started going in 2x week back in April. I’ve been in a total of 6x. Only 3x was anyone on my team even there. Not once was I told to come in, at most it was suggested for ppl to start coming as they are comfortable
