I had an interview w/ the Hiring Manager at Boston Consulting Group for a position and it went so well that the HM said on the spot I was going to be moving onto the next round. Its been weeks since that interview & I've had to follow up w/ the recruiter 3x asking for an update. I mentioned interviewing elsewhere but prioritizing BCG. He finally responded to that saying he was going to debrief with the HM and get back to me but nothing... what gives?
Does anyone happen to be in or know anyone who is in the RUV alliance Angel Investment syndicate? https://ruvalliance.com/
We’re looking for angels who are familiar with investing through RUVs (a special purpose vehicle on Angellist) and specifically think the RUV Alliance could bring a lot of value.

I've been pitched similar gigs. They involved calling and selling to friends and family with zero base salary. If he can’t clearly explain the comp structure or what support/training looks like, I'd walk.
The lack of transparency and being vague is definitely triggering my red flag radar butttt, if the numbers check out and there's clarity on commissions + training it could be worth a shot. I would just have your guard up and trust your gut if something feels off when you go in.
Does it involve selling to family and friends, cold calling, door-to-door, or buying your own leads? Those are the questions I’d be asking. I’m with AO Globelife (the only union insurance company in the world) and we don’t do any of those things. We also don’t require you to recruit anyone. The income and residual income potential is uncapped and no experience is necessary. We help you get licensed and we provide all the training you need for as long as you need. We’re hiring lots of people because there’s over 2.5 million union members and only about $2,000 of us. If you’d like to learn more lmk!
It always gets back to a basic premise, if something sounds too good to be true, it is. Whenever someone tells you that their business is going brilliantly but they can't really explain it, something is off. You're right to be wary of it, there's something about it that's not worth your time.
