Sometimes I feel like a therapist more than a human resources person. I don't know if that's normal because this is my first job out of college, but it really feels like people just come to me to unload all of their problems and then go back to work. I wish I could add Therapy to my resume 😆
I feel you. I’ve had people share everything from personal crises to work gripes. It’s rewarding, but draining too. HR sometimes feels less like “resources” and more like emotional triage.
Giving people with bigger titles than assistance on how to build a business plan to submit to their boss. Providing examples of justification. I don't mind helping but I am sure I won't get any credit. Meh, it is what it is.

My job title is still Accounts Administrator. I cringe when I email and know it says that on the bottom when it's now just a shadow of what my job is these days. My title should be Accounts Admin-HR-Training-All round problem solver.
My title doesn’t come close to reflecting what I actually do. We wear so many hats and barely get credit for half.
