I love this video that gives a wonderful idea about documenting what a student refuses to do work. Albeit there are times when a student has had a rough day, doesn't feel good, or has something else going on, but that student who is outright refusing to work should have a consequence. When the ball is put back in their court, and the adult b is made aware-coyld that be a game changer? What do you do to motivate and encourage students who refuse to work?

I love this. I think it is totally appropriate and smart. Put the responsibility back on the student and keep the parents informed! And if they are not meeting expectations, and the teacher has done all of this, let them fail and retake the class or go to summer school. If the student is capable of doing the work and their only issue is that they just don’t feel like it, they need to experience the consequences of their choices.

I am seriously thinking about implementing this idea this year. I love the idea of documenting.
