It's hard to know what to make of that. As it's an internal situation, they may feel like it's courteous to break bad news in a call rather than an email. It could still be a positive sign, however, that title could just be the standard wording they use when they announce a decision. Best approach is to stay positive and hope for the best.
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense actually. I hadn’t even considered that they might be holding off on email because they want to do the “sorry, we went another way” convo live; some companies really do treat rejection calls as the more respectful move, even if it feels brutal in the moment.
I imagine it could go either way. I wouldn't worry too much until you actually speak to them and get a little bit more clarity. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
Yeah, you're probably right. It's super easy to spiral when you're just sitting in the limbo phase after interviews. I'm trying not to overthink it, but the silence is killing me a little lol.
