I'm serving notice period in TCS and my last day is in 2 weeks. I requested for pickup of laptop in the portal but I came to know that it will take time for pickup and I won't be available if they come late. So I decided to go to office and surrender the laptop as I'm in the location of office only. Is there a seperate request to be raised for surrender of laptop and how to cancel the existing request for pickup. Please guide.Tata Consultancy

I still generally prefer the Airbnbs because while Airbnbs have gotten more expensive, so have hotels. By a lot, some of the time. The last trip I went on, they wanted $189 per night and that was the cheapest. An Airbnb was still closer to $100 per night

I’ve learned that if you travel in off season, hotel rates are much cheaper. The issue I have is the Airbnb shouldn’t be anywhere close to the same as a hotel. The facilities of a hotel are almost always nicer, amenities are unmatched and the proximity to sites/tourist areas is usually much closer

Hotels have definitely stepped their game up. Once Airbnb fees started matching hotel rates, the value gap shrank fast. Hotels usually win on consistency and amenities. Airbnb still makes sense for long stays or large groups, but for short trips, hotel is often simpler.
I hate that Airbnb is no longer a secret. Rates were awesome like 5-6 years ago, but now you're right, they're right up there with hotels, if not even more expensive. I still book almost exclusively through them though. Having an entire house to myself on vacation is so much more enjoyable than staying in a hotel.

That part! Having an entire house to yourself can’t be compared. But the amenities of being in a hotel and close proximity to sites/tourism is a plus you don’t get with Airbnb

I’ve shifted the same way. When the prices are close, hotels usually win with consistency, amenities, and fewer surprises. Airbnb still has its charm, but for a stress-free stay, a hotel just feels easier.
