I retired June 1 and have not regretted my decision. I taught 28 years and do not miss the classroom. With the cost of living I continue to work but it’s doing a low stress job. I k ow work for the federal government and leave work at work. I just applied for a posted federal job training people who work with children - right up my alley since I mentored so many interns and new teachers. Enjoying my pension from the state for life!

Congratulations to you! I retired last May after 33 years. I was a workaholic. I thought I’d miss it but realized how freeing I felt. I have gone back to school to visit. I get all the love but none of the responsibility. It has been awesome.

Stimulants and sweating! I’m going back to the office and never used them while in the office, I don’t want to look or be sweaty haha any advice? I also don’t want to look weird drinking 6L of water as I do in person

Just restarted stimulants and already I'm dealing with twitches again. Does anyone else get these? No type of pain or anything just every once and a while my body will twitch strongly. Afterward I feel normal, but it's a bit annoying, and I can't control it at all which is a little disconcerting. Don't remember this from when I took stimulants as a kid, but it's been a while.

How many times has an interviewer no-showed and the recruiter profusely apologizing on their behalf?
Happened to me with Mindtree recruiter, for an IoT leadership position where the interviewing VP chose to no show twice… after which I thanked the recruiter that I was impressed by their book of busi-ness and that it was intimidating to be thinking about the prospect of working for Mindtree… as I’m too incapable for those performance standards… 😂😂

I am retired and enjoying subbing part time. Wondering if there are any others that have finally found their dream job in retirement.

I retired May 2021 after 40 years. I’ve had difficulty adjusting. My answer has been to start subbing. I do better when I’m on a schedule!

I am retiring this year and deciding if I should keep district insurance. It’s $781/mo.! Anyone drop theirs and go with a different company? Mine is Anthem/BCBS
