I think I’m going to get fired today just so the boss can have his son take my position. I’ve been here over 2 years and put a lot into this business but it has taught me some lifelong lessons that I’ll take to my next job (because even if they don’t fire me, I don’t feel I’m long for this place with how the ownership is)

What do I do if I’ve only worked one job (the one I’m currently at) and another company is asking for references? I could do professors from college but not sure if that’s a good idea. I wish I could give my current manager’s contact but I don’t want her knowing :/

I’ve worked in clinical research in the academic/non profit world for the past five years. I want to transition to a role in pharma or a CRO, but haven’t been successful yet because I don’t have industry experience.
