Churn. Market directors above the branch management want their advisors to sell Mutual Funds and convert bank assets to investment assets. Not very much holistic financial planning on the retail side until you move to Private WM on HNW and UHNW side.
This is incredibly incorrect. The firm puts a huge emphasis on planning and holistic wealth management. The real answer to your question is this
Private client banker is the feeder role for private client advisor. JPM WM is is a huge growth phase and rapidly hiring new private client advisors many of which just came from the banker role.
Private client advisors who have been successful get to move to the select advisor channel (wire house model and office based rather than branch based).
With a lot of private client advisors moving to select and private client bankers having back filled that role, there is a lot of movement upwards and those all need to be back filled.
They are great opportunities for the right people who want to build a wealth management practice.
