Guys - If I am going for a h1b first time stamping interview, what do I answer if i am asked "Do you work for an end client?" I do not have any client letter or any document to show the interviewer. any guidance will be super helpful please.

Hi Everyone, I have joined IBM 2 weeks back and project is not assigned to me yet. Now the thing is IBM has my previous company as client, Now HR asking me to work over there for atleast 6months. But am not at all interested to go over there and work.

Can we reject this project and ask IBM HR to show me some other projects. TILL NOW NO OTHER PROJECT IS SHOWN TO ME

Even my people manager also wants to work me there but I told him not interested. Will it effect me in any way at IBM.

I received a verbal offer for a VP position at CCB line of business at JPMC in NYC two weeks ago. The recruiter asked for salary expectations but there was no number set. It’s been two weeks since and complete radio silence. I sent an email to a hiring manager a week ago but received no reply. It’s August so people could be on vacation but this is really strange. Not sure how to gauge this: first year lit attorney and have not been meeting hours due to general lack of work (I ask for it, people just say to hang tight until something comes up). The work I do get typically has a very quick turnaround time, so I’ll bill ~14h/day but for only a few days at a time, resulting in low monthly numbers. Is this normal for lit? I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

I came to US on an L1b in 2018 and switched to H1b in 2021 Oct. Current 797/visa expiry is stated as July 2023, by which I would have spent 1.5 years on H1b visa (and 3.5 years on L1b before that). During h1b extension , will I get another 4.5 years of extension? How does extension work when u switch visas?
