My favorite protein source is always going to be eggs and spirulina. Spirulina can be pretty expensive but If you don't have any cholestrol concerns, you can have about 2-3 eggs a day. But of course, please check with your nutritionist/physician before you take my advice. I'd say try to reduce your intake by about 30-40g per day and see if it's making a difference. If it is. then you can be sure that you're prbably taking a litte more than you need.
I am not a fitness junkie. My favorite meal is medium-rare ribeye steak, mashed potatoes, green salad with French or Russian dressing, green beans and unsweetened iced tea. If my body objects to my diet, I follow Dupont's slogan of "better living through chemistry." That said, you may someday celebrate your 85th birthday and I may cash out at 77. My thought is, those last 8 years probably aren't that fulfilling anyway.
My best overall advice is to slowly up the macros you want to focus on. Fiber especially! You will be in for a bad time going from low to high and vice versa. Moderation! For me it took some trial and error to figure out what worked the best. I just wish the protein companies didn’t have to sell everything in barrel sizes!
