By north of the river are you also excluding downtown? I would say a social that involves some drinking but still has kids would be a good outing for a brewery. I like Strings in Springfield for big groups with no booking ahead. Closer to town center there's also Bottlenose which is a good one and has some games like giant Jenga kids could do
And I didn’t get an invite 🥺
Downtown isn't officially in our area but not completely out of the question, it's just that some volunteers will be driving from the beaches so I included the coverage area for reference. Thanks for the ideas!
Confused on what the volunteer base works on. Those details may help others provide better suggestions.
North and West of the St Johns river is most of the city of Jacksonville. So basically this group appeals to San Marco, Mandarin, and the Beaches.
This is for Scout Leaders and other involved volunteers that contribute to programming and events through the year.
The local chapter covers all of North Florida from the panhandle to the Atlantic, down to Gainesville.
It's a big area so we have it broken down to communities and then villages, for better more personal support, which match the neighborhoods you mentioned somewhat.
Im the lead volunteer for the Mandarin village and I also co-lead at the broader community level which is that area I mentioned excluding North and West because there is another team there, plus one in St. John's and in Clay respectively and so on.
This just happens to by my zone of volunteers that I support and school is out so we need a moment to celebrate ourselves!
