I was advised to list my most recent job as current on my resume, even though I was recently laid off. Now that I'm receiving job offers and background checks are being initiated, I'm concerned that the employment history portion of the check will reveal the layoff and contradict my resume, potentially jeopardizing the offers. How likely is this to happen, and what can I expect?

Hi everyone. I was a solution engineer at Oracle. I graduated from college in May and this was my first job out of college so the lay offs were pretty rough. I majored in Supply chain management and I have 2 internships under my belt. Do you guys have any advice or tips on what to do moving forward? I would like to stay in tech and I’m giving it a few weeks before I start pivoting to more traditional supply chain roles. Thanks.

I spoke with a recruiter recently about a position in her company and before we even began talking about the job, she asked if I needed an sponsorship, I told her no, I dont need one. But she continued to press on the subject until I had to tell her I was a US citizen. I dont know why, but the whole conversation made me extremely uncomfortable. So my question is, can recruiters ask you about your visa/immigration status even when I told her I didnt need a sponsorship??

Good morning… My internal audit team is saying that ALL changes, even changes related to maintenance must go through the change request approval process and should be in included in ISSO dashboards. Currently all changes are logged via SPLUNK. Is there new guidance that I don’t know about?
