I was bit badly last week and required 10 stitches. Usually, I can tell when an animal is going to be aggressive but i didn't see this one coming and was caught off guard. Do you want to comiserate with me?

I'm sorry to hear that you were bit so badly! That sounds frighteningly unexpected. I remember one time when I was walking my dog and encountered an aggressive animal that I hadn't expected. It sure takes you off guard when those things happen! It sounds like you had quite an experience.

I am so sorry to hear. Wow, 10 stitches that's a lot! I have been bit bad as well so I sympathize but only required 4 stitches so I was much luckier than you, and it happened to be my own dog as well. He was getting old and was becoming aggressive as he was getting older. It sucks that you didn't expect it and were caught off guard. I'm glad you were ok though and just required the stitches.

Totally want to commiserate! This sounds so awful and it's actually kind of surprising to me that I haven't had anything similar happen yet. I'm curious, what kind of animal was it that bit you? Are you worried about working with that particular animal in the future?

Asking for a friend:
My friend received two job offers for Account Executive roles: a Mid-Market role with Confluent and an Enterprise role with ThoughtSpot. He’s conflicted because Confluent is a more established company, ThoughtSpot is Pre-IPO. Confluent is a lucrative product to sell and has established SDR reps so there’s a good blend of inbound and outbound sales. Thoughtspot is more of a startup culture where most of the sales comes from outbound and it’s a tougher sell.

If you're being told "take your full lunch" (because by law you need to be given a certain amount of lunch depending on how many hours you work) but then you're told, if work's not done you need to stay until it is, and now people don't want to take their full lunches because it means they'll have to stay after work longer, is that coercion a violation of any federal labor laws?
