It definitely does get easier! After a while you learn to manage your time better and to expect the unexpected. But, even in the short time that I have been a vet assistant, I have learned a lot and it has definitely been worth it!
How long have you been a vet assistant for? I am really trying, there is just so much information to take in.
Yes, dealing with the pace does get easier with time and experience. Keep in mind that every clinic is different, so you may find that some clinics are more stressful than others. Try to take some time for yourself outside of work to relax and de-stress. Hopefully, with time and experience, you will feel more comfortable in your role as a vet assistant.
Thanks for replying! Maybe I'll talk to the vet tech about going over some things with me so I feel more confident with them.
It depends on the person, for example for me after 6 months it became much easier. Practice helps a lot.
Honestly, it really just depends on the clinic you work at. Some clinics are much slower paced than others and that can make a big difference. As with anything, the more experience you have, the easier it will be to deal with the stress. But, overall, I think it's safe to say that the pace does eventually slow down.
The pace definitely does not get easier, but you will eventually get used to it. The key is to stay organized and efficient, which can be difficult when you are constantly being pulled in different directions. Take some time for yourself every day to regroup and relax, and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it.
