If you're being told "take your full lunch" (because by law you need to be given a certain amount of lunch depending on how many hours you work) but then you're told, if work's not done you need to stay until it is, and now people don't want to take their full lunches because it means they'll have to stay after work longer, is that coercion a violation of any federal labor laws?

Having an animal friend with cancer is not something easy. This year I have already had 24 animals that went to sleep in order to stop suffering. This is not easy for their families at all. It seems to me that the cancer stats in domestic animals are increasing, is this just me?

I get that money is tight. But if you deny all diagnostic tests, please don’t get mad at me when we can’t figure out what’s wrong. Those tests are there for a reason.

Unpopular opinion: as a vet, I can assure animals can be as mean as human beings, they just can't speak up for you to know. And they also have the power to dislike you.

I need help. I think I’m being underpaid at my job I’ve been at for 3 1/2 years. I’m a full time receptionist for a veterinary hospital but I also manage the reception area (I answer all questions and if someone makes a mistake I’m the one the fix it) and am an in house trained veterinary assistant but can do a techs job (unlicensed) and I do help the technicians out anytime they need and I’m only getting paid $13 an hour while a crew member at arbys gets paid $15 . What are some things to consider before going into veterinary medicine?
