Looking to do a career pivot into VC. Have 12+ years of B2B tech marketing experience with IBM, Google, Deloitte and a number of startups. Have skills in messaging, product launches, and sales and enjoy diving deep on my personal investments (all public companies beyond a few RSUs). Have an MBA in the back pocket too. Thoughts are to join as a marketing expert and learn unique VC investment philosophy. Any advice on how to break into the VC world? Just started networking/planning.

I am working in infosys at 8.5 lpa and holding an offer from JMI ( Jean Martin System) for investment banking analyst at 10 lpa. But I have heard some negative reviews about JMI regarding job security and growth. Can somebody provide insights or share any review on the same ? And also answer if the salary offered is okay for a fresher in these industry?

Currently an analyst-level consultant working with a client that has an investment banking division. Since I have access to internal systems, could I reach out to bankers for networking from within using those systems? Or would that be too aggressive? lol

I figure if anyone can understand this, it’s you all. I feel like I’m losing my damn mind. I have always loved communications, and I’m really good at it. But lately I’m so tired of politics and toxicity that I it’s sent me into a depression tailspin, on top of a pretty severe mid-life crisis. Two and a half weeks ago, I quit my job with nothing lined up. Not the smartest thing I’ve ever done, but I kind of feel like self-preservation was at work here. I heard from my head that there is a lot of slowdown in VW Germany... There is Hiring freeze, level freeze and all ... And soon that will spillover to india. So be prepared for very less hikes in coming cycle :( Also automotive sector in general is struggling with tesla laying off 10% workforce recently. Maybe time to make a move? What do you say fishes?
