Anyone have any thoughts on Primary vs Secondaries PE as a career after coming from Tech M&A? Wondering if Secondaries is a good move?

Apart from hikes how is the promotion policy in oracle. Can I expect as senior software engineer role after 2 years atleast?

Is there such place as non toxic ID firm? Or does any of ID attys like what they do? I moved from general practice to an ID firm six months ago. Biggest mistake of my life. I am trying hard not to just quit and walk away as I’m battling head cold but still have to bill bill bill and get criticized for not billing right and etc and cases being piled up - while everyone is looking forward to the long weekend. I'm entering my final year of law school but am going part time since I work full time as a paralegal. I have been a paralegal for more 10+ years and I want to open my own firm after I pass the bar.

I've worked at a lot of different size firms including a startup with a few attorneys and I was able to help with a lot of the ground work with getting the practice management system in place and still do some of that now at my current firm. Hi - I’ve moved to Toronto (from Asia) with 5 YOE in Corporate banking + 2 YOE IB/capital markets (7 YOE in TOTAL) working roles in Front Office and financial analysis.

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.
