Nordstrom’s to try different brands. But outside of what was mentioned, I’d also say JCrew has some timeless pieces, and Eileen Fisher is popular with some of my fashionable, older female relatives.
Had very good luck with Quince for basics, and have been supplementing it with key pieces. Fell in love with Aran sweaters so added 3-4 of them to my collection for fall and winter, many of them were $50-$60 for 100% merino wool and IMO will last longer than the acrylic stuff you find in large box stores. When upgrading, I’ve tried to be patient and find things I really love so I don’t get sucked up in microtrends.
Ann Taylor, Loft, Aritizia, Mango, Uniqlo
Nordstrom, topshop have several great options
Thank you! Ann Taylor was top on my list but I wanted a broader range of stores to consider so this is very helpful
Genuinely, check out Old Navy. They’re size inclusive and properly styled actually look really nice
Talbots. Great sales this time of year.
Agree Talbots is better for the larger sizes and more tailored for an older woman’s body shape.
Also try Macy’s - variety of Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, international concepts and MK.
In my late 50’s, Ann Taylor and banana don’t seem to work as well for me anymore. Same weight - but the weight moves to different places.
WHBM and Ralph Lauren
Black house white market, Loft, J crew factory, banana republic factory
