You’d need a computer with a stable internet connection, and you must be sure the device can both handle streaming and gaming unless you’re using two computers. I highly recommend investing in a good mic. Not an expensive one, but a good one. Do your research, don’t worry about setting up a webcam just yet.
Download OBS.
Open broadcast software allows you to stream to whatever platform you’d like to connect to. Twitch or YouTube, TikTok, whatever website so long as you have the stream key for that website.
If you plan to play from console, you can stream from Xbox, but if you want overlays and more of a customization thing going on, you’ll need a Capture card for that system. From there you just need to set up your accounts, get everything connected, and then you can set up your gameplay. You’ll wanna create scenes in obs to capture the video, audio from the game, and your microphone/headset.
Above all, know it’s a road that requires consistency. Unless you already have an audience on another platform, you’ll need a lot of time and practice. You’ll have streams with nobody watching, but eventually you’ll get someone. As long as you’re yourself and friendly and welcoming, you’ll be fine.
