I've been working in the sales industry from past 1.5 years, but i wanted to change my field.
After some research i decided to get into Cloud Computing. I've done Microsoft Azure course and cleared AZ 104 Certification for Azure Administrator.
But because of my Sales Experience my profile is not getting shortlisted.
Please suggest me what can i do ? And if anyone can help me with the job.

Looking for a remote/hybrid/onsite (Calgary,Alberta) job for my boyfriend who got almost 5 years of experience in proposal writing, RFP, RFI and bid management for a civil engineering firm. He also got an MBA, non drinker, non smoker, clean driving abstract and very polite. He gave out tons of cv in indeed job posters for the past 5 months, ends up becoming the filler candidate, took a huge toll in his mental health and we are going through some very rough patches. Within my first year of Consulting, really struggling with the hours amongst other things. Spoken to a couple of people internally and the advice is to get on to projects with bigger budgets and therefore bigger teams/more support. I want to wait until I hit the one year mark before making a decision on whether Consulting is for me or not. Curious to hear from other experienced hires..how is/was your first year?

I’ve been so specialized for so long I’m not even sure how to answer this question for myself. Once upon a time I was somewhat interested in tax but I’m worried that’s where fun goes to die. I kinda dig admin law, although that’s cheating a bit because I work with a federal agency.

It's been a challenging year for me, including a rejection from GSAP. This week, I got into my top choice MBA program - and an M7 to boot! Just goes to show that sometimes Deloitte's decisions can be misaligned to the greater world.
I hope that Deloitte gives me the chance to be a good brand ambassador - but at the point, it's up to the firm if I even consider coming back :)

How many people get promoted to S1 from A2? Didn’t do well in A1.

ZS 🐠 - can you receive sponsorship for MBA prior to having tenure of 3 years? If not, what is the downside of applying after 1 or 2 years? I am coming in with 3+ YOE in consulting, so my application would be competitive for next fall (or ‘23)

I just got into reading books, any suggestions to start with? Which could help to increase media/marketing knowledge.

How can I try to get into VC? Particularly tough tech and things like robotics, automation, transportation, etc. I’m currently at T2 consulting in industrials and I’ve tried networking with a few VC firms in this space, but no luck.

Is it possible to transition from antitrust litigation to general litigation?

Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm doing patent work. I applied to a part time masters program to try to pivot to a different technical field (still doing patent work, but in something that interests me more than what I’m doing now). Do I try to stick it out at the firm while getting the masters, ask for a reduced hours schedule, or get a part time, non-legal job so I can focus more on the program (one year).

I was hired a few months ago by D to do data science. I am not doing data science currently, is there a way I can switch roles internally? Should I talk to my coach? Or should I just start looking for a new job. I’m starting to feel that the field is so hot rn my small stint at D won’t be a big deal to other firms.

What other careers do you catch yourself daydreaming about? I, for one, would have loved acting as I loved theater throughout my life but alas fate had other plans. What's yours?
