Has anyone here taken a cruise with Virgin Voyages? If so, I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether they are not like other cruises as their marketing collateral suggests. I’ve never been on a cruise and don’t really think of myself as a cruise person, but Virgin sticks out to me especially because they don’t allow children onboard. Thanks!

I’m looking at countries that have already announced they aren’t changing restrictions BUT the flights have layovers in countries that are (ie UK, France, Germany). Also wondering when to book as prices for those flights seem to be skyrocketing.

Does anyone have experience booking a round-trip ticket (rather than 2 one ways) and boarding at the layover location?

I am looking to book a trip this spring from Austin to Zurich (Amsterdam as the layover on the way back). If we decided to travel from Zurich to Amsterdam via train, could we board the layover flight to get home? Or will the airline (KLM/Delta) cancel our flight when we don’t show up to the Departure location?

I’m 6 month pregnant with a good amount of lower back pain that gets worse with standing and walking. Insanely, I’d like to take my 2 older kids to Disney before the new baby arrives. Has anyone been to Disney Land (CA) and Disney World (FL)? I’m curious if Disney Land being smaller would be less walking and possibly a better option.

I am scheduled to fly from NYC to Mumbai via Paris next Wednesday (Jan 5) for a ~10 day trip. Have any of you, your family, friends, etc. flown a similar route (I.e. from US to India via Europe) in the past week? If so, what is the arrival process (Covid test, quarantine requirements, etc.)? I’ve had all recommended vaccine shots and I’m only in Paris for a 2 hour layover (not leaving the airport). Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!

AWS vs Cloudflare BDR roles

AWS lowballed but I negotiated to match Cloudflare. Cloudflare offers more equity but AWS has a higher base.

I love Cloudflare. The people are great but it’s an engineering culture and the sales team isn’t as well shaped up and I can’t go for a promotion until at least 18 months of tenure. I am an investor in the company and think of them super highly. I’ve already got half a years SDR experience and AWS promotes quicker.

Question on UK visa-
My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.
