Position it as you’re employed in a contract role which is why it’s short term. The contract is coming to an end which is why you’re back on the job market
Maybe. But if we assume she just mentions that it’s a contract role if the question comes up during an interview, then nothing should be flagged during the background screening as they’re just making sure she works at the company listed on her resume. Also I’ve been a hiring manager and I’ve never looked at a background screening . I assume HR just takes care of this
A ~27mo gap (estimating, 19mo mat gap + recruiting in job market + 2 mo new role) vs. your 19mo mat gap seems like similar. You were out of the market 1.5 years then, and 2.25 years now if you don’t divulge. I think the tradeoff of leaving a new job so quickly would be more a flag, and would leave off the new job. Just my 2c though.
Idk how you have been sustainable after 19 months without a paycheck, ride it out and collect a few paychecks for at least 6 months.
