We have one that is 11 years old. We would not do it again. It is too soft and we had gotten the firm one. At first it was fine but over time it softens and you can expect back pain. Also get ready for a few months of off gassing
We hate ours! When we tested it in the store we thought it was great. Now not a year later, the mattress got lumpy and held body indentations. Go for a more conventional pillow top from Stearns and Foster.
I have a love hate relationship with mine. Bought the LuxeBreeze Firm. Not as firm as I would like at times. Sleeps much warmer than I’d prefer; especially in the summer. Occasionally go sleep in my guest bedroom on my old Aireloom to mix it up if I’m not sleeping well with the Tempurpedic.
That is a ton of money for a bed! How did you get to the point where you decided you needed this?
@accenture 1 : where did you buy your hotel collection bed from?
Worth it. Got the ProAdapt medium queen several years ago and upgraded to the king recently. Assuming you're going for the adjustable, active cooling and all the other bells and whistles if you're spending $13k. Regardless the medium firm is what my wife and I found as the ideal balance between firmness and conformity. Definitely have a lot less stiff back days compared to traditional spring mattresses.
I have one. Honestly on my second and it’s the best purchase I have made. I broke my back 20 years ago and got my first one then. Over time I moved to a king size bed with the adjustable base.
Rising Star
My ikea foam mattress is amazing.
I sleep on the floor these days…
I literally bought a call king medium adapt pro for 700 on Facebook. Still brand new in bag, box, and factory strapped. 13k, I'd call the cops, it's robbery.
Cost:
$13,000
-$12,300 bed bugs discount
=$700
Thanks for all the input. We are shopping around and found sleep number for about $8k.
We are getting all new bedroom furniture so all good.
I know the bed you are talking about and I bought the same one 2 years ago. Yes stupidly expensive but as an insomniac who really struggles to sleep it’s the only bed that really works. Cooling system is great too. Totally recommend.
We got a sleep number bed and it's a game changer.
Damn I have been sleeping fine on a bed I bought for $400 ten years ago
Blame us - don’t do it!!! 😂
My wife hated ours, and I was indifferent. It went to the guest room after a year or two.
I have multiples - never paid that much but they are worth every penny we’ve spent. The downside is that it has ruined every other bed on the planet. Hotels suck now because of it.
Costco
When you’ve spent years sleeping on dirt floors, cots, and military grade springs, any thing soft will do.
All that said, good luck. If you couldnt find something you liked for $1000 (atleast for a couple months) I doubt you’ll find it for $11000
They saw you coming. Mistresses and cars. Always negotiate. We have an adjustable sleep number. Only got adjustable because of husbands back, hip, shoulder, knee surgeries and he still only changes it occassionally. I only used it once when I had COVID. So it realy depends on why you might get an adjustable. I do love being able to set the firmness. The down side of adjustible is they are two twins and if you put a king size topper it defeats being able to adjust the bed. We had a non adjustable sleep number bed prior. It died in a hurricane or would probably still be using it. They had a great warranty.
Should have a ton a President Day sales, do some shopping. 11k seems way over the top.
3 ruptured discs in my lower back and that’s the only bed that gives me relief! Fortunately I need the absolute firmest one which is also the cheapest. Back hurts at the slightest angle. Well worth the money and they last a long time. First one I had close to 15 years and you don’t need to keep flipping it.
