Two main issues mentioned by others are accurate:
1. Find a way to increase your income.
2. Find a way to decrease your expenses.
You are not alone. I was 22 making $22k a year with a bachelor's degree in 2008. I went back to school for a master's degree in accounting for non-accounting undergrads (talked my parents into letting me move back in while I studied full time and worked part ime) and then I got a much better career path. Went from 51k to now about 220k in a decade. My life is different from yours, my skills are different from yours, my challenges are different than yours. Money is not everything. But getting to about $100k and having health insurance really made my life better.
If you have kids it's super hard. If your single it's hard. But set goals, have a friend or family member be your accountability partner, and pursue your goals, whatever they might be.
If you can go ultra low cost by renting a room or taking in roommates, cutting vehicle expenses by selling a good car for a cheap one (or public transportation), do it. If you have to work a second job at night or on weekends, do it.
If you can go be a waiter/wait staff to get tips, or do some delivery driving or ride-sharing, do that. If you can make balloon arches for weddings and baby showers as a side gig, do that. Whatever you can do given your personality, abilities, and the things you have, do it!
I know it's not a fix all but I hope you can find a way to improve your situation because the government isn't going to come help us.
Very inspirational reply

I just want to say that sometimes life is hard and it stinks to be alone but this too shall pass. I’ve had some very low lows but am currently happier than I’ve ever been. Keep your head up and keep working hard and make smart choices.

What skills do you have and what value do you bring to people or a company? If you don’t have relevant skills or value to offer, then go to YouTube university and learn some. Working for free to gain skills/experience is underrated in my opinion. I’m in the accounting field and even though I understand bookkeeping, actually doing the bookkeeping work is very different than reading the finished product. After I learned bookkeeping, I could now charge for it. Just a quick example, but bookkeeping is a great side hustle or full time gig that you can do on your own.
Spend less
So go get a better job
Yea that sounds easy
