Hey Fishes,
Require urgent suggestions
I will be joining Oracle Financial Services Software(OFSS) and I am worried about job security considering the layoffs that will be happening in Oracle as per below link:
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.crn.com/news/cloud/oracle-considered-1b-in-cuts-thousands-of-layoffs-report&ved=2ahUKEwjv0Lyb3-34AhX29zgGHZGqBBYQ0PADKAB6BAgEEAE&usg=AOvVaw0c9Bz3n-mb4BhVdPKvIXnE
Require suggestions on whether it would be a wise call to move to OFSS now.

Rising Star
I always had a study guide to help them focus and followed with an open-notes test over the movie. The best comment I heard was from a student who so engrossed in the movie, she forgot she needed to fill in the study guide.
I love this idea
Bowl Leader
I always try to give an assignment with a movie. Just enough to make them engage.
I find that they're so use to switching focus frequently that you have to rewire their brains a bit to get them fully into. Then, if it's a good movie, it usually grabs hold of them.
That is a great idea!
To be fair to your students the trailers rarely represent the move. I remember thing Good Morning Vietnam was going to be hilarious based on the Trailer.. boy was the a depressing movie instead.
That is a good point!
Our kids have checked out. They have no motivation for anything…we get out on the 4th of June
I don’t show movies, kids never watch them even if its one they begged to watch in class. For them it’s never about watching a movie, it’s about not having a traditional lesson where they have to engage and contribute. I discovered Blooket and they engage in that way more than a movie day.
Hi. Anything in the arts like movie day, music and TV shows depends on your audience. You may have to take votes several times. Some may have seen the movie. Maybe their parents really censor what they watch so they have very little interest. Example one Christmas the entire school was watching Polar Express. My kindergarten students were not interested. I had to disconnect from the movie and sign into Wild Kratts and Daniel Tiger on PBS kids.
I have found it has to be a small group of students, and you literally have to talk about the subject of the movie a minute before showing (otherwise they don't care).
Oh, they love movie day.
You won't.
Movie day now = play on the phone day.
We have to get those phones out of their hands-
