Not started the process yet, scared! Maybe could ends be treated to lighter shade and trim every couple of months till they meet?
I let my hair go natural during covid lockdowns. I actually liked the color of my gray as it was a sparkly silver and beautiful! Don’t be scared, just do it. Talk to a colorist to get suggestions. Hopefully they have a color that washes out gradually. I think you’ll like how pretty your grey looks and you’ll LOVE the money you save. No one says anything to me. And if they did, who cares. It’s like we’re wearing our wisdom! 🤣

Oh, I love your thoughts on this. My hair does feel healthier than it has been in many years. I have had so many people compliment me on my hair. I was griping about my hair to an acquaintance yesterday. He told me that many women pay big bucks to get the look I have. So I will plod on!

I let my hair go natural 5 years ago. I got it cut short and i love it
If you want to go through that process gradually you could dye your hair with a lighter shade and shift to a more ash tone. Over time you could continue to gradually get lighter until you decide that you want to move into the gray shades.
I am letting mine go, too. Thankfully, my hair is light brown, so the grays are kind of coming in like “highlights”.
