Good thing UK left the EU!!!!
Unlucky…?
Meanwhile, US workers carefully avoiding the fact that US taxation system is effed up and is one of the few countries on the planet daring taxing its expats even when they’re tax residents of another sovereign state 😂
This is why I’ll never do an expat assignment in the US again, cost me more than the (slight) pay bump
It’s what happens when your life goals are not defined by monetary figures
@EYP https://www.vox.com/science-and-health/2016/11/30/12945756/prescription-drug-prices-explained
Here’s the first one a google search brought up among many others. It’s very well known within the industry and my clients (large biopharmas) openly talk about how they don’t worry as much about ex-US pricing because they make the bulk of their money from domestic sales
Better said, US employers have to pay you 30-50% more to even survive in our trash tax and healthcare system while the 0.1% and 0.01% pay no tax
Yeah we have seen how they pay taxes, we just got a report that Warren Buffet pays like 1.3% tax maybe? Was it a propublica article? Never understood why Americans are so hell bent to defend the top 1% while being completely taken advantage of the system that benefits only that 1%
Takes this to politics you goon
In fairness to OP the politics bowl is mostly a circle jerking echo chamber of ideologues.
InB4 haters *too late
If you are paid 50% less, it will take you twice as long to get to the retirement. If a US person can retire in 15 years, it will take someone in France 30 years.
Don’t give me life goals etc. Who wants to slave for years longer for any reason?
Also, do you really think you will live your best life when you retire? I'd rather spend on experiences while young than horde for retirement and be in poor health by overworking.
When the European teams get to take the entire month of august off it makes up for it.
A good consultant normalizes that pay by hours worked 🤣
Then if in US you get an Hearth attack you are in debt for life 🪦
@sc1 what if a2 has a heart attack in between jobs?
Tying health insurance to employer as done in the US is just bad for workers and gives unnecessary power to employers. There is no reasons why it should be like this.
