Inform admin for the record. Then, leave a “dummy” cup containing coffee on the desk and put the real one that you’re drinking from away out of sight. Walk around on purpose during hours 3 & 4. The culprit might be silly enough to try it again. You can outsmart a kid—it ain’t a fair “fight”!

The group of students that were in the class I suspected, were always conspiring something. I'm just thankful for the two who were always on point and kept me informed about some of the shenanigans
Pour it out! Have my coffee before I get there.
I would definitely address it and tell them that it is assault. That you could have become violently ill and hospitalized. Those types of antics are dangerous. Geez and admin should also address this. I would definitely lock those two classes down and not let them get up. Yes put away the hand sanitizer and lotion so that they cannot utilize them. Also tell the classes (ALL) what happened and the consequences. OMG I am so sorry.

The problem is there are never consequences for the elite. The ringleader of most of the shenanigans was one of the basketball "stars".
That happened to me when I subbed after student teaching. I make sure I have a lid and try to keep my eye on it.

That's what I said. I will very simply and sweetly hand them a baby wipe if they need to clean their hands.
Omg.. I'm so sorry! Can you think of any students who would pull a prank like that? I'm sure they didn't intend to hurt you and maybe they were trying to be silly but that's super dangerous, and worth talking to your students about. That is totally not okay
see my reply below
Keep a lid on your coffee? Put the hand sanitizer away or far away from your coffee. Think about why someone would want to put hand sanitizer in your coffee? Are their cameras to catch them in the act?
Rising Star
No cameras in my room, but I would not object to having them in my room.
That is illegal. You need to report this.

Of course, nothing has been resolved. I am still not allowing any privileges. Of course, one of my morning classes is so off the chain, I honestly do not know what to do with them
This happened to my son around the same time you created this post. He is a high school math teacher and does not drink coffee. A student put hand sanitizer in his nice pen holder and he discovered it when he went to use one of his pens. Was this some sort of TikTok challenge I wonder? We’re had problems with dares/challenges like this at the elementary school where I teach.
