Assaulted? That doesn’t sound manageable. Stay and get some classroom management experience, learn the hard way, earn some $ but look for another job for next year- or ASAP!! I taught in a bad school and unless you have that special gift of turning around the wild child and dealing with all the issues...run
I just finished my first year and this legit sounds like my year. I also have a new principal coming next year, and I would not be staying if i didn’t. I’m going to give it at least another year, and then leave if it’s not any better. Very personal decision and super hard. Good luck!
Well , if there’s a new principal, there’s some hope. If there’s no change, though, I’d look elsewhere. You shouldn’t be assaulted. That’s not acceptable
also think about who you are working with closely. I almost left this year for a new school, but my math department is so supporting that I ignore my awful adminstration because I get the support from my content specialist and department
