Hi all
Few months back, I accepted @pwc india's offer but didn't join.
Now I was referred for @pwc US but as I was applying for the job, the portal shows previous application with status as offer accepted.
Will pwc consider me again?
Does anyone have any idea on this?
Has someone accepted the offer but didn't join and later joined again after some months?
Please let me know
Any inputs will be helpful
Thanks!

Normal? Not really. Common? Yes, a lot sadly. Some recruiters don't reach back to let you know if they chose another candidate that clicks better with the company
Yes. Some recruiters ghost candidates if they are not chosen for two main reasons. First, they don't know how to communicate something like that, and second, they don't want to burn the bridge with you if the candidate they chose in the end doesn't meet expectations and they want to change him/her.
Just judging by what my job-hunting friends say, it seems to be a growing problem. Everyone is "looking" because they are short staffed yet no one seems to be actually hiring.
Unfortunately, that's pretty much standard treatment nowadays. I always make a point to send a "thank you for the interview" card in the mail the next day, that way it reminds them I'm an actual person and ups my chances of getting some response at least. Even then, though, a lot of times I don't hear anything.
