Hello everyone!
Can anyone please explain the promotion process followed here and specially at LCCI? If there's any minimum criteria like X no of years in a particular level, etc. followed while checking eligibility of an employee?
And also - what's the hike/increment range usually at the time of promotion?
Eli Lilly and Company.
Any leads would be highly helpful.
Thank you!

Welcome to LTIMindtree
Hi, I received the below offer for L65 Principal Program Manager (non tech) at Microsoft in Atlanta. I have 12 YOE in strategy consulting. Can somebody with experience with MS please advise if this is good or lowball? The recruiter mentioned that this is max for Atlanta and anything else will require an “exception” process. I don’t think I want to risk losing the offer. Thanks!!

Happy long weekend! What is everyone up to?
I think it doesn’t matter that much.. if you think your current job is for your growth and $ is good, then stay. Otherwise look elsewhere… the early promo doesn’t matter that much.
Not worth looking elsewhere for reasons stated by EY1 and EY2. In the grand scheme of things, not getting promoted “early” isn’t a good reason to leave. Focus on your career growth and building relationships. That will pay dividends later and set you up for success as opposed to just searching for a title.
What level are you?
So I’d say at the end of the day, if you like your group/coworkers, that’s way more important than the promo title. I’ve only seen 1 person successfully get promoted to manager after 2 years, so it’s really uncommon in my office at least. Sure you can apply to another big4 and try to get that manager bump, but being in a new firm/new clients/new systems/etc and being in a new role could be verrrryyyy challenging.
What group are you in? I would look elsewhere because Deloitte has been hiring people that were only a senior for a year at other big4 as managers it’s total bs.

I agree, but from the employers standpoint it’s easier to justify early promo or higher salary for an external hire since most people don’t know too much about them as opposed to your coworker. This is why it’s better to switch firms, but majority will stay. Until majority of people switch firms like they did last year, the firms won’t do anything. Why do you think Deloitte gave higher raises and retention bonuses to existing staff finally?

Do you have the skills to be a manager or a really good senior? If employees are true to their title then there is a difference, OR some firms the title doesn’t matter and you still do the same things whether you are a senior or manager.
I think so. I think I’m doing a lot of manager things now, without the pay or title. I know I’m viral to the engagements I’m on. I think I would rise the occasion.

Senior to manager is a big jump, much more so than associate to senior. The responsibility load goes up materially, so while you may be doing some manager work right now there’s a big difference between doing some manager work and doing 100% manager work. I wouldn’t stress about it or consider leaving personally unless you felt like you weren’t being compensated fairly. Now if you don’t get advanced on the regular timeline I’d then start looking.
