Has anyone taken a 6 month break in between jobs? Been in a really bad rut recently and am thinking about taking some time off to mentally recoup and figure out next steps
Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
KPMG just put the word out no one will be required to return to an office or client site before 4/1/2021. Makes me think it will get moved to 6/1 or 7/1 at some point.
How many companies can you manage interviewing for at the same time without getting overwhelmed?

Labor Day is coming up next week, and I'd love your thoughts on how we can recognize workers in this truly strange year. Maybe a mega thread in the Coronavirus Work-life bowl asking what it's been like to be a worker in the year 2020? Could be a cool time capsule to have people from different industries share their stories about what it's like to work through this. Any thoughts that come to mind?
