Hey everyone. I am a 2020 B.tech IT grad from VIT vellore. I have worked at DXC Technology for 15 months and quit in October. I gave 2 interview rounds at amex for Business analyst role and today got a call from the recruiter that she received mail from Amex that I’m selected and there would be a salary discussion probably this week. My question is, if she said that is it certain that I’ll be offered this role and if yes then is there a chance that my gap months can hamper my chances in hr round.American Express

I don't know you but to make visible Open to Work for everyone can be risky because in this Changed Hiring Process the scams are also increasing and if you are not comfortable then keep it open only for Recruiters and I not have much knowledge but the Recruiter I think not see as underperformance if you keep it open to Recruiter's only.
And I understand your situation and don't think that way what one can do if suddenly the Hiring Process changes and it is a Unusual situation but to cater this you can try to do upskilling or Certifications because
When of Recruiter's get specific about your current job situation then you can tell them.
I don't know you but check your Ats Resume Score
Try to keep patience as much as you can as the Job Market is showing some signs of revival as seen in January 2026 but I think it take time to gain momentum so there may be days,weeks where no Recruiter's Calls comes to your way and I hope not months.
