What part of supply chain management is your favorite? I am partial to procurement, but I know some people prefer to work in warehouses.

I have to say that I am the purchasing girl, I love being part of this department of the supply chain, I have to say that I have been through them all and this is where I have felt most comfortable.

SHOPPING is the best department, it allows you to meet many new people and create important relationships.

I consider myself an introvert, so the warehouse is my favorite place in the supply chain.

My favorite area of the supply chain is logistics, Supply chains are unique networks between companies that deal with the production, shipping, warehousing, and delivery of products. These networks are very important to companies as they greatly affect sales and profits. However, without effective and well-organized logistics, supply chains cannot help your company gain a clear advantage over the competition.

I really enjoy working in procurement because it is always challenging to find the best supplier for our needs and to negotiate the best deal. I also worked with inventory and warehouse management systems not so long ago, and it wasn't awful either

I need more insight. I just got done with my on-site interview (flew 1,000 miles) they paid for everything. I had interviews with the director, CNO, and fellow managers. The CNO was fourth coming with all information and said they would develop me to reach my career goals. The managers were telling me the good school districts etc. and we’re agreeing with my answers during the interview. I’m probably going to end up over analyzing everything until I hear back. Any thoughts?

Based off my experience, I believe 60k is a fair salary but am I not communicating that on my resume.

Additional Posts in Logistics & Supply Chain Management

Hey friends! So I left PwC (risk assurance, did a bit of consulting) about 4 years ago for industry, and have been working in supply chain ever since for a major retailer. Recently, a recruiter from Protiviti reached out to talk to me about open roles in supply chain consulting, and I’m trying to decide if this would be a good move or not. I know it wouldn’t be quite the same as the hours as big 4, but I don’t know enough to be sure if it’s the right fit. Any advice?

Today I messed up doing a delivery. The client was expecting the supplies at 3pm in the warehouse, however, there was an accident on the highway and traffic was insane. It slipped my mind to let them know about the delay. Now, they believe it was me being irresponsible and are threatening to fire me for not reporting on time and possible losing them a client.
