Is it me or is Lego so intricate and customized now that you can’t make anything with it other than what they give you instructions for?

When I was growing up, a lot of the enjoyment was the flexibility to make anything out of the pieces they gave you.

I take immense comfort in knowing that chances are, I cross paths with some of you daily. Does anyone else notice this? It’s fascinating.

I’ve doing this for a good number of years. I think I depleted almost completely my interest in this business. When I’m out of the office or during the weekends I get into a “leave me alone state” and don’t want to know anything about the office. I actually just want to get in the agency, do the best I can within the time I have available, and get out. In a business where “the most committed wins” this is not an ideal mindset, but I’m done. Anyone else experiencing something similar?

For firms that give an annual performance bonus - what is considered a good percent to receive? I am thinking mine was a little low but I could be wrong

I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. This makes me very confused since I kept hearing stories of people working 60+ hr weeks as designers at ad agencies. I am not complaining, but I have this creeping irrational feeling that I’ll get fired for not working even though there’s nothing for me to do. Should i be making up projects or asking for more work? Or just chill out? I just feel very confused. Are a lot of full time jobs like this?
