Definitely LLM generated. OP, you didn't even bother to try to hide your laziness. When someone on one of my teams hands me this kind of content, I kick it back to them immediately. Please try harder.

funny

I didn't write it - saw it on Reddit and wanted some feedback on the ideas. I didn't realize it was LLM generated as I haven't read enough of that content to be able to spot it.

OP, here’s the real issue. Let’s say we all said it was accurate. How would you execute this? Come up with a trade and then ask some pointed questions is what I would suggest.

Was that written by ChatGPT?? Ha

Ha, I was going to ask if this was a ChatGPT post as well!

OP - This is 💯 correct. If someone doesn't have a trading plan before getting into it, they are just gambling without any defined risk. ALL professional traders do this, but it takes time to learn how to control your emotions so you're not just hopping in and out of trades using "hope" as a trading plan. Regardless of whether the response was from reddit or ChatGPT, it is SOLID advice. Check out a YT channel called SMB capital to see how professionals trade - what you posted is exactly how you prevent blowing up your account. Good luck!

VP1, can you explain why you think so?

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.

[Help]

I started trading during Covid crash. Started with equities and eventually moved to options. Earlier lost a month's salary and then lot more trying to recover it. Currently have lost my yearly salary worth and it's affecting all aspects of my life (job, marriage, health). I have tried to convince myself to consider it a loss but always get back trying to recover it.

Any advice how to deal with it. Thanks.
