I would call this festive attire, not black tie.
I wouldn’t call this black tie, I would go longer
This is not black tie
Visual Storyteller
I am 5’2 and wouldn’t wear it for a wedding. It looks perfect for clubbing / art Basel but not for a wedding imo.
Would you be comfortable in this in front of your grandma? And the couple’s grandmas? Too sexy for me to be comfortable in at a wedding. And too much potential for a wardrobe malfunction. 😅
It’s giving hooker
Yes sorry. The shiny material and the slit doesn’t look classy. Dress the population on Nordstrom has nice cocktail dresses that are sexy chic
Honestly I think it depends how the dress looks on you. If you are less curvaceous and booby and the fit isn’t as tight, the look will be less ooo lala sexy. Add a nice jacket or shawl and you’re fine.
Love the flubbery athletic look. I’m the same lol. What you described sounds fine to me!
It should be okay due to your height but depends how well you know the couple and the vibe of the wedding
No. It’s not wedding appropriate.

I think it’s too sexy / too “look at me” (aka the bride may not appreciate it)
If the wedding is actually black tie attire, that dress isn’t appropriate. For cocktail attire, I have actually worn a similar dress in the past; I am also 5’3” and smaller chested, so the style of dress shows off a LOT less skin. In your case, since your wedding seems to be giving you mixed vibes on attire, I would err on the side of dressier than that dress.
It’s very sexy. If the bride is simple, probably not a good idea to where this and take attention away from her.
I wore something like this and im 5’3”. you’re good due to height. bring a wrap/shawl for cover up when you need to
Not wedding appropriate
This totally depends on the type of wedding the couple are having.
I went to a wedding pre-Covid in Miami of an old friend who was marrying a professional sports player and outfits similar this this were fine. As a New Englander…I honestly felt like a pilgrim in my much more conservative wedding attire 🤷♀️
Not with the high slit
