In my experience, people in your spot usually document everything first. Sales results, shrink, labor control, training you’ve done, extra keys you hold and then ask for a sit‑down framed right.. like "Given the responsibilities I’m carrying, I’d like to talk about either a pay adjustment or a path to store manager within X months."
Put together a list of what you are doing and how you are succeeding in doing it. Then bring that up. Make a timeline for yourself, and if it doesn’t happen in that time, start looking for another place that will want to pay.

So I once had a surprise meeting with her where she did not know if I was meeting her and I put everything together and told her why I was the most eligible candidate for promotion.
